Need to sign a contract, like, now? There’s an app for that. Several actually, but the folks who create EasySignMobile have gone and made their service a bit more accessible to the unwashed masses with an updated version that supports Facebook authentication. The new feature is currently available only for iOS, although we’d imagine Android users will find similar love in the near future, as the company released its first version for Google’s platform last October. Also on deck for iPhone and iPad fans, the latest version of EasySignMobile offers integration with Dropbox and Box.net for easy file storage and retrieval. So next time you need to make your mark, perhaps you can reach into your pocket rather than rummage for a pen. Those interested will find the full PR after the break.

If you swing past your local Best Buy and pick up one of those new-fangled LG Smart TVs, you’ll find TouchTV’s news-clip collection platform available inside. That way you’ll be able to watch the trendiest (or at least the most watched) current-affairs clips without having to wait the twenty seconds or so before your rolling news channel of choice displays similar. TouchTV also announced today an iPad app that’ll let you grab those newsy clips from your Apple-based slate of choice. The app’s available gratis from the store (link below) and we’ve got the official words and pictures from the company about both products after the interval.

We already covered the announcement of the new Matias tactile-keyboards but couldn’t resist descending into the show floor in order to get a quick hands-on with the Canadian-made kit. The USB-powered boards contain a Bluetooth module and a physical button (with a blue LED) that you can switch between typing on your desktop and wirelessly to your device. The “Island-Style” SlimOne replicates the look and feel of the current Apple island-keyboard, but with scissor keys, which pleasantly resist your fingers. The ’90s style Tactile One forces your hands to readjust back two-decades, but the mechanical board was a joy to use, with no lag between typing and it appearing on a compatible phone. After the break we’ve got a short video where we learn that retro keyboards can send people into such a frenzy that they forget to type the word “movie” correctly.
If there’s one pain we know better than any at CES, it’s the heartbreak of an empty battery. Powerbag feels our pain. The company has just launched a whole mess of ways to make sure your mobile gadgets don’t lose their ever-precious charge. At the top of the list, of course, is the new Powerbag, the company’s bread and butter. At tonight’s CES kickoff event, it was showing off a messenger bag version of the product.

Not surprisingly, this carrier doesn’t have the sort of cache of, say, a Crumpler bag. This is a big bag that charges up to four mobile devices at the same time — it looks about as dorky as you’d suspect from such a product, but when it comes to the love of your mobile devices, sometimes such vanity has to go out the window, right? Among the upgrades to the line is a slimmer battery, for charging your devices on the go — certainly a welcome change. You can pick a Powerbag up now for $140.

Also new is the myCharge Folio, an iPhone 4S case with a built-in USB cable that mimics the design of the Apple Smart Cover for the iPad and promises to double your battery life for $80. The $100 myCharge Duet also has a built-in USB cable and comes in two pieces, so you can slide off the battery, when you need the thing to be a little less bulky. The myCharge Concierge, meanwhile, is a portable charger with two USB ports for and an integrated car adapter that pops out. It’ll run you $40.

The myCharge Scout runs the same, featuring an integrated USB cord and a proprietary Apple connecter. For $60, you can pick up the myCharge Quest, which packs in a USB cord, and connecters for Apple and microUSB devices.

If you’re jonesing to get your photos and movies from your smartphone back to the home computer without futzing around with cables, the folks at SugarSync have a new spoonful of sweetness for Android and iOS devices — and with its free price, it should be easy to swallow. In the latest version, the company has applied its AutoSync technology to videos, which means that all media files can now be synced to the cloud and pushed to linked computers without user intervention. As this could involve a significant amount of data, AutoSync Videos works only over WiFi, and users may select from three compression qualities based on their desire for picture quality or upload speed. The latest SugarSync apps also feature a redesigned photos tab, which lets users view all their pictures — not just the recent ones — and offers quicker navigation along with larger, high-res previews. The company gives all users 5GB of storage absolutely gratis, so if you have a lot of media to unload, it may be worthwhile to hop aboard. You’ll find the complete PR announcements just after the break.

We know, it’s the new year and you just made a resolution to start going to the gym regularly… for the fifth year in a row. But you really mean it this time, don’t you? There’s an intriguing way to make sure you stay motivated throughout 2012 — the almighty dollar. And we’re not just talking gym memberships, either, though you’ll probably need one: an iPhone app called GymPact offers cash rewards if you honor your weekly fitness commitment and makes you cough up some of our own hard-earned money if you slack off. Here’s how it works: you first make a pact on how many days you’ll go to the gym each week (minimum of one day per week) and how much you’ll fork out if you miss, with the minimum penalty set at five bucks for each day you miss. If you have to pay, that money gets taken out of your credit card and goes straight into a community pot, which then gets divided up and doled out to everyone who honored their weekly commitment.

How does the app know when you’ve stayed true to your vow? It’s easy enough: you have to check-in to the gym using the app and stay for at least 30 minutes in order for your visit to count. The negative motivation seems to be working so far: according to GymPact, the startup saw a success rate of 90 percent in its six-month Boston-area trial. Unfortunately, iOS is the only platform the program is currently available on, but the company says it’s working on an HTML5 web app that would allow check-ins from any smartphone. Now, if only there was an app to keep us from going to the Drive-Thru immediately after we leave the gym…

It’s time to show your iPad who’s boss — your iPhone, naturally. The Tizi Remote app is presently available for free via iTunes, letting you use your iPhone to change channels, record shows and pause live TV on iPads connected to the Tizi or Tizi Go TV receivers — and if you happen to have a 4S, you can harness the power of Siri to change channels for you. Sadly, neither of the aforementioned pieces of hardware are available stateside at the moment, so for now, you’ll just have to watch TV shows on your iPad the old fashioned way.

Between us, you and the wall, we suspect a sequel is on the way in the shape of the Contour 200i Air that’s just been escorted out of the FCC’s underground bunker and dumped unceremoniously on a Washington highway. In barely enough time to get out of the app store and into the hearts of retro gamers everywhere, the iMAME emulator on iOS has already been erased from iTunes — just days since its release. Alas, that lack of any official endorsement may have reared its ugly head. Well, it was good while it lasted. Guess we’ll carry on saving up for that Vita purchase…

	[Thanks Zac]

While Apple fans around the globe have had the iPhone 4S for awhile now, many of our friends in the Far East haven’t gotten to enjoy the fruits of their countrymen’s labor due to a lack of governmental approval. You see, before a handset makes it onto Chinese networks, it’s got to be approved by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT). The good news is, the 4S has finally been blessed by Beijing and will be brought to the masses by Chinese Unicom sometime soon. That means that China’s home-grown superphone, the Meizu MX, is going to have some Siri-ous competition for Chinese hearts and yuan in 2012.
