How to clear the Auto-Complete Email Address Cache in Outlook
If you are like me I like to use the auto complete email feature in my To: field in Microsoft Outlook 2003.
Ever wanted to know how to edit that list or take it with you and save it?
If you are not running roaming profiles your list is stuck on that workstation or laptop.
So here are a couple of things you can try in regards to editing and saving your list:
Start typing in the address that shows up incorrectly.Hit the Down arrow key to select the auto completed address.
Hit the Delete key to delete the auto complete address
The other way is by opening the profile folder and deleting the .nk2 file.
Open up windows explorer, and paste the following into the address bar:‘%APPDATA%MicrosoftOutlook” (without quotes)
Delete the Outlook.NK2 file that you find in this folder.
Alternative to deleting the file just copy and paste the file elsewhere for save keeping.
